Imagine. Create. Share.
Since 2008, the Kids4Kids My Story Creation annual story writing and illustration competition has provided primary students across Hong Kong with a creative platform that enables the budding writers and artists to imagine, create and share their stories.
This story was written and illustrated by kid(s) who participated in the Kids4Kids annual 'My Story Creation competition'. We hope to celebrate all the kids who used their creativity and imagination to create a story by giving them an opportunity to custom print their story, and be able to share and inspire other kids to create their own story.
Proceeds from the sale of this custom print story will help fund the Literacy Development Programmes at Kids4Kids to provide creative learning opportunities to low resourced communities in Hong Kong. By buying a Kids4Kids custom print story, you are not only applauding the future artists & authors of Hong Kong but you are also making a difference in a child’s life!

Once upon a time, there was a secret kingdom named Magicnation. In which, there was a careless little witch called Jane. She was so clumsy that her friends didn't like her. Besides, there was a careful little vampire called Rick. He was so shy that he couldn't make any friends.

Jane and Rick didn't get on well with each other. Unfortunately, they didn't have many friends and their teacher needed them to pair up, so they had no choice but to pair up with each other.

One day, their teacher taught their class how to make a spirit-swapping potion. Jane accidentally splashed the potion on Rick and herself. Boom! There was a big explosion. Both Rick and Jane passed out. Their classmates were worried so they brought them to the medical room.

Their teacher looked after Rick and Jane until they woke up. “Wa! Who are you?” they asked when they looked at each other. “Wa! Who am I?” they asked again when they looked at themselves in the mirror. They found out they have swapped spirits.

Their teacher told them “I need one night to make a reverse potion. However you should never tell anyone about this or else the magic will become irreversible. So they had to pretend to be each other and stay at each other's house for one night.

After school, they went to each other's house. During dinner, Rick parents found “Rick” very outspoken. They were surprised by “his” change. On the other hand, Jane found that Rick's parents were very strict and always told Rick what to do. Now she understood why Rick was so timid.

At Jane's house, Rick found that Jane's parents were so carefree that they talked with Jane about anything. Now Rick understood why Jane was so direct. On the other hand, Jane's parents were surprised by “her” manners and politeness.

On the next day, they went to school. Their classmates didn't know what had happened but they noticed that Rick and Jane were not quite themselves. Somehow, they became more approachable, and their friends enjoyed playing with them.

While they started to have fun in their new bodies, they realized it was time to swap back. The teacher gave them the reverse potion and they finally swapped back.

After one day being in each other's body, they understood that everyone had their own personality. If you spend enough time to learn and to understand each other, you will discover the nicest things of each other.
