Imagine. Create. Share.
Since 2008, the Kids4Kids My Story Creation annual story writing and illustration competition has provided primary students across Hong Kong with a creative platform that enables the budding writers and artists to imagine, create and share their stories.
This story was written and illustrated by kid(s) who participated in the Kids4Kids annual 'My Story Creation competition'. We hope to celebrate all the kids who used their creativity and imagination to create a story by giving them an opportunity to custom print their story, and be able to share and inspire other kids to create their own story.
Proceeds from the sale of this custom print story will help fund the Literacy Development Programmes at Kids4Kids to provide creative learning opportunities to low resourced communities in Hong Kong. By buying a Kids4Kids custom print story, you are not only applauding the future artists & authors of Hong Kong but you are also making a difference in a child’s life!

My name is Ken and I am a hunter. I am greedy and cruel. Money is my favourite thing in the world.

One day, a conscienceless trader asks me to kill fifteen elephants and he will then give me a great deal of money. 'Kill fifteen elephants and bring me their ivories,' says the trader.

The next day, I set off to Mount Kenya National Park. It is a shiny day. I feel exhausted so I rest under a gigantic tree. In the meanwhile, I see a couple of elephants. I hide in the bush and shoot down all of them.

I check the quantity of the ivories. There are only twenty-eight ivories. That means I have only killed fourteen adult elephants. Suddenly, I see an enormous elephant with large ivories. I want to shoot it down but ...... someone knocks me down.

When I wake up, I find that I am in a village in Africa. The village head asks me, 'Why did you sleep in the bush?' I answer, 'Someone knocked me down but I did not know who did it and what happened.' 'Go to Liger Hill. Find the one named Aataka. You will know the answers,' he replies.

I go to Liger Hill to find Aataka. Upon my arrival, I see no one but lots of lions. Then I shout, 'Aakata! Where are you?' Then, a male lion approaches and says, 'I'm here. Don't be shocked that I can speak. Keep this secret, or you will die under my paw. For your information, the elephant that you tried to shoot is now in Silver Hill. But remember, don't go!' He points to the Silver Hill.

But I don't listen to the lion's warning and go to Silver Hill. I see a cave with something sparkling inside. I get into the cave and see a lot of ivories. 'What a gorgeous place!' I murmur to myself.

Suddenly, there is an earthquake. I feel shocked. I want to get myself out of the cave but some rocks blocked the entrance. Luckily, the earthquake stops. 'Bong! Bong! Bong!' It sounds like there is a giant creature.

The Elephant God appears and asks, 'Why do you kill elephants?' 'For money.'
'You are cruel and selfish. You will never be rich!' 'Haha! Why? Why can't I be wealthy?' 'Because of your cruelty and selfishness.' A door appears and I am locked in. 'No! No! No!!!' I shout.

'Wake up! Ken!' I wake up and find that it was actually a dream. I take a deep breath. 'It's not a dream! Remember: NO SALE, NO KILL!' Deep in my mind, the word by Elephant God appears again, again and again......
