The Hunter and the Wild Animals
Imagine. Create. Share.
Since 2008, the Kids4Kids My Story Creation annual story writing and illustration competition has provided primary students across Hong Kong with a creative platform that enables the budding writers and artists to imagine, create and share their stories.
This story was written and illustrated by kid(s) who participated in the Kids4Kids annual 'My Story Creation competition'. We hope to celebrate all the kids who used their creativity and imagination to create a story by giving them an opportunity to custom print their story, and be able to share and inspire other kids to create their own story.
Proceeds from the sale of this custom print story will help fund the Literacy Development Programmes at Kids4Kids to provide creative learning opportunities to low resourced communities in Hong Kong. By buying a Kids4Kids custom print story, you are not only applauding the future artists & authors of Hong Kong but you are also making a difference in a child’s life!

Once upon a time, there was a hunter called Michael. He always killed the wild animals. They were very afraid of him. The angel Lily loved the wild animals very much so she was very angry with Michael.

One morning, Michael found that he became a wolf. He was so scared. At that moment, he saw Lily and asked, ‘Who … are you?' Lily replied, ‘The wild animals said you are so cruel to kill them. Try to be one of the poor wild animals.' Then she left.

Then Michael felt hungry and he wanted to find some food. After a long time, he arrived at a town. There were a few people. He knocked on the door of a house to ask for food. However, the people wanted to kill him.

Unluckily, a hunter caught Michael. Michael thought, ‘Why did they catch me? I just want to have food.' Then he howled but the hunter was furious and hit him. He felt upset and frightened and he really wanted to escape.

In the morning of the next day, Michael bit the rope and luckily escaped. He felt hungry and sleepy. He went into the forest and met some wild animals. He wanted to ask for some food to eat, but they all ran away in no time when they saw him.

Michael chased the wild animals because he wanted to know why they all ran away. Unfortunately, he was trapped. He wanted to escape, but he couldn't. He didn't know what to do.

Next, Michael shouted for help. However, no one saved him. Then, he saw another hunter. The hunter said and laughed, ‘Oh! The wolf's fur is so beautiful. Ha! Ha! It can be sold for a good price.'

At that critical moment, Michael realized that he was wrong to kill the wild animals. Nevertheless, it was too late. Then, he shouted, ‘Angel! Angel! I know I am wrong. Please help me!'

Suddenly, Michael saw the angel Lily. She said, ‘Michael, do you know how the poor wild animals feel now?' He replied, ‘I know how cruel I am. I shouldn't kill them for their meat or fur. I promise I will never do this again.'

Finally, Michael found himself on his bed. He felt relieved because it was only a dream. From now on, he became a farmer and lived happily in the forest with the wild animals.
