Eligibility
The competition is open to all registered Hong Kong primary schools and all enrolled primary school students. Individuals and groups of up to 4 students can submit a single story. There is no limit on the number of entries.
Story Requirements
- OriginalityStories and illustrations must be original, i.e. not copied from others, and never been published before.
- Language RequirementEnglish and/or Chinese.
- Page Limit10-12 pages of writing + 10-12 pages of illustrations. (each page should have an illustration accompanying within)
- Word LimitEnglish: at least 50 words and not exceeding 90 words per page.Chinese: at least 80 characters and not exceeding 110 characters per page.
- IllustrationsThe suggested size is 30cm x 30cm drawing paper and 2000 pixels x 2000 pixels for uploading.Writing and illustrations should be separate: note that story text should not be on the illustrations.Must include Story Title on the cover page.
Story Submission
Judging
The panel of judges will read and grade all stories, select and present Awards to the kids who have demonstrated exceptional performance in the following categories: “Storytelling Excellence”, “Writing Excellence” and “Illustration Excellence”. The judges’ decisions are final and binding. A final collection of 10 stories selected by our judges will be printed in the annual Kids4Kids Treasury publication.
